Rob's licorice

Rob's drop® was introduced in 1992 by the founder of Sweetlife, Piet van Barneveld. He was looking for a suitable name for the mix of all kinds of skipper-related shapes. Piet borrowed the liquorice name from Captain Rob, the hero of the comic strip The Adventures of Captain Rob, which appeared in the Parool magazines between 1945 and 1966.
